Ian McFadyen Crime Novels

About me

I was born in Liverpool, grew up in Lancashire but for the past 25 years have lived in the south-east of England. I have been married for over twenty five years to the same wife (well done Chris for sticking it out) and have three grown up children...Emma, Jamie and Lauren.

I have an honours degree in Marketing and have worked in a variety of companies over the last 30 years including for short periods a bank ( before I did my degree), a Montessori teaching establishment and the YHA . I have spent most of my working life in the electronics industry in sales and marketing.

I started writing crime novels in my early forties and to date I've been able to get four of my titles published.

 In chronological order these are:

'Little White Lies' - first published in May 2008. available in hardback, paperback, large print and on kindle

'Lillia's Diary' - first published in July 2009, available in hardback, paperback, large print and on kindle

'Frozen to Death' - first published in September 2010, available in paperback and on kindle

'Deadly Secrets' - published in April 2013, available in paperback and on kindle.

All of my published titles so far are based around a fictional Inspector called Steve Carmichael and set in a fictional Lancashire village not too dissimilar to where I grew up.

Further books within the Carmichael are in production with more releases imminent.

If you would like to ask me any questions about my work you can find me on facebook or twitter, and I also have a goodreads author profile.

I really like to hear any feedback from people who've read my books  so do let me know what you think!

Best Wishes
